Family Finder Service

Tamba offer 2 types of service for media requests to find multiple birth families.

1. Family Finding Service - Twins Club e-mailing & Tamba message board posting

Initiates a search with us for your requirements. We will use our UK wide twins club e-mail database to try and match your request and place a posting on the Tamba message board on our website. However, we cannot guarantee you a response. This process involves Tamba as a charity in administration and staffing costs and because of this you will be invoiced for £40 irrespective of whether the search is successful or not and whether you choose to use the people who contact you or not. We are able to e-mail the twins clubs by specific UK regions if you wish us to. It is also helpful to our members if you fax or e-mail back with your form a short description of what you need, how long you will need the family for etc. so we can include this with the e-mail and the message board posting (which is displayed for a max. of 2 weeks unless you advise us otherwise).

2. Tamba Database search

Initiates a search with us for your requirements. We will use our message board, our UK wide twins club e-mail address book and our membership database to try and match your request, however, we are not able to guarantee a response.. This process involves Tamba in administration and staffing costs and because of this you will be invoiced for £50 irrespective of whether the search is successful or not and whether you choose to use the persons found or not. We are able to e-mail clubs and search for families with suitable children by specific UK region if you wish us to. It is also helpful if you fax back with your form or send us by e-mail a short description of what you need, how long you will need the family for etc. When we have searched our membership database for families should you need to we will e-mail all those who have given us their addresses and indicated that they are interested in media approaches.

Please bear in mind that families with multiples need time to plan journeys so please give us as much notice as possible of your requirements - the shorter the lead time the less likely it is that your search will be successful. Tamba members and Twins Club members are mostly families with young twins, triplets etc. so searches for older children may also not be as productive, we also have very limited contact with adult twins. Identical twins can also be difficult to source. Details of casting agencies which specialise in twins etc. are available from the office.
